💰 Compensation: $290–$300/hr
📍 Location: Athens, Ohio
🕒 Start Date: ASAP (Credentialing ~90 days)
🩺 Description:
An excellent opportunity for a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician or a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician with Emergency Medicine experience to join a physician-led Emergency Department in Athens, OH. Work alongside a collaborative clinical team in a supportive environment providing quality patient care in a modern facility.
Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department
Evaluate, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Maintain detailed, accurate medical records using EPIC EMR
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and departmental initiatives
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and standards of care
Qualifications
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with recent EM experience (ABMS/AOA only)
Active Ohio medical license (IMLC accepted with proof of LOQ within 3 business days)
Minimum 2+ years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
Current certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
COVID-19 vaccination required
Clean background required
Working Hours
12-hour shifts (day and night coverage)
24 hours/day of physician coverage
36 hours/day of APP coverage
Nights & weekends required
No overtime available
Skills
Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume ED
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

22-bed Emergency Department
