  • Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalist and Specialty teams available
  • Support Staff Available: Physicians and Advanced Practitioners

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license / IMLC required
  • Board: Board Certification not required; must have completed a 3-year residency (will accept 1-year post-graduate training if Boarded)
  • Boards Accepted: EM, FP, IM (except residents); ABEM exempt; ABPS and AAPS not accepted
  • DEA: Pending DEA accepted
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency training preferred
  • Other Qualifications: Proof of immunizations and recent PPD or QuantiFERON required; must pass criminal background check;

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide emergency medical care for all patient presentations within the Emergency Department
  • Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for acute and urgent medical conditions
  • Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and other hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the facility EMR system
  • Participate in departmental quality and compliance initiatives
