Arc Health is seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM) physicians to join the dedicated emergency team at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, the referral hub for the Navajo Nation in northeastern Arizona. This 60-bed hospital serves as the region’s medical center, providing full inpatient, surgical, obstetric, and specialty support. New Graduates considered!!!

Opportunity Highlights

  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approx. 90 days for credentialing/security)

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8 AM–8 PM / 8 PM–8 AM), 5–6 providers on daily

  • Compensation: $275-300/hour depending on commitment

  • Housing and malpractice insurance

  • EHR: RPMS with Dragon dictation for documentation efficiency

  • Licensure: Any U.S. state medical license accepted

Practice Overview
The Chinle ED sees 80–90 patients per day (approx. 32,000 annually) across its 2 trauma bays and 7 treatment rooms, plus a 6-room Urgent Care with an eye clinic. The Emergency Department operates as a trauma center and includes 24/7 access to imaging (CT, X-ray, MRI) and lab services. Support staff include 13 RNs, 5 Health Techs, and a Department Secretary, all ACLS/PALS/BLS/trauma-trained.

Specialty support includes General Surgery, OB/GYN, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Dental, Optometry, Podiatry, and Native Medicine. On-site services range from ICU and operative obstetrics to dental and physical therapy clinics.

Ideal Candidate

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)

  • Active, unrestricted medical license and DEA (any state)

  • ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS required

  • Comfortable in high-acuity, resource-limited, or underserved settings

  • Mission-driven, compassionate, and culturally respectful

Job Responsibilities

Staff the Emergency Department
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
Perform comprehensive examinations for adults and children
Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Qualifications

Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare
Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners
ABEM certified
ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
