Coverage Needed:
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- Duration: Until further notice, anticipated 1-2 years
- Schedule: On-site, weekends, nights
- Shift Times: 7a-7p and 7p-7a; two 8-hour shifts available per day
- No call required
- Orientation: Morning of 1st shadow shift
Clinical Details:
- Trauma Center: Level 2 (ACS Level 1) Trauma Center
- Procedures: Proficiency in all emergency care procedures required (Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, Orthopedic stabilization, etc.)
- Average Patient Census: FSEDs - 2 patients per hour; Main sites - variable
- Common Cases: FSEDs - Vertical 3 patients and Level 4/5 patients; Others - Mainly Vertical 3 patients (abdominal pain, chest pain, etc.)
- Support Staff: APP coverage based on location and shift; EM residency program; APP training program
Requirements:
- Flexibility in Schedule:
- Provider MUST be willing to work day AND night shifts
- Provider MUST be willing to work weekdays AND weekends
- Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine after successful completion of accredited Residency or FM/IM with 3 years of experience (for FSEDs only)
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
- Active FL license
