ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
- Schedule Needs:
- 12/23,24,26 7a-7p
- 11/28,29,30,12/19,20,23,24,26,27 7p-7a
- Structure of coverage: 1 day physician (7A-7P), 1 night physician (7P-7A)
- Mid-level coverage: 2 PA shifts: 9A-9P and 12P-12A
- Annual Volume: ~ 32,000
- Physicians typically see 18-20 patients in 12 hr shift, PAs see 25-30 (lower acuity) patients in 12 hr shift
- Admission Rate: Approx. 4-10 per 24/hr
- ESI Scale: 3-4, sometimes 5
- ED/Bed Size: 22 beds, 2 Trauma Rooms, 1 Designated Sexual Assault Examiner Room
- Credentialing Timeframe: 1-3 weeks
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- EM or FM board certification: FM MUST have extensive (10+ years) of ED experience
- Active NC License
- MUST be comfortable with solo coverage
