Services will be performed onsite at the Augusta VA Medical Center – Uptown campus.
Qualifications

Licensure:
-
Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.

Physicians with past or current licenses that have ever been restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied will not be considered.

Board Certification:
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine is required.

BLS and ACLS certification are strongly encouraged (may be required by facility policy).

Hours of Operation
The Emergency Department operates 24/7/365, including Federal holidays. Physicians must be flexible to work shifts as assigned by ED leadership.

Key Responsibilities
-
Provide emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting to the VA Medical Center Emergency Department.

Deliver care consistent with VA standards, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and peer reviews as required.
Compensation & Contract

Contract role (1099 or W2 depending on arrangement).
