- A Locum NP/PA is needed in Lansing, MI, to provide independent coverage in a Level III Emergency Department fast-track unit.
- The role requires working collaboratively with physicians and residents while managing a steady patient flow in a high-volume ED environment.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency medicine patients.
Collaborate with attending physicians available 24/7 for guidance and case review.
Manage approximately 110 patients per day (divided among providers).
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and care coordination.
Support admission, referral, and transfer protocols in line with hospital standards.
Qualifications
Active Michigan License (not IMLC) – Required.
DEA Registration – Required.
ACLS and ATLS Certification – Required.
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience – Required.
Clean background for credentialing – Required.
Must be local to Michigan – No exceptions.
Working Hours
No weekends required.
No on-call responsibilities.
Skills
Ability to work independently in fast-track urgent/emergency care.
Excellent communication and collaboration with physicians and residents.
Proficiency with Cerner EMR.
Skilled in urgent procedures and emergency patient management.
