StaffMed Health Partners is working with a rural community hospital in the beautiful state of Vermont to assist in recruiting a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who values practicing in a collaborative, close-knit environment while providing high-quality care to patients across multiple counties.
Position Highlights:
Annual patient volume: 13,000 (~35 patients per day)
Rural emergency department within a 20-bed critical access hospital
24 hours of physician coverage daily (two 12-hour shifts) (7a-7p & 7p-7a)
Additional APP Support (12p-10p)
24/7 Hospital Medicine coverage
Independent contractor (1099) status
Relocation assistance offered
About the Facility:
This not-for-profit, critical access hospital serves communities in Windsor, Windham, and Bennington counties in Vermont, as well as portions of Sullivan and Cheshire counties in New Hampshire. Services include:
Inpatient and outpatient care
A wide range of specialty care services
Comprehensive inpatient mental health services at a partner behavioral health center in southern Vermont
Collaboration with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
The hospital also works closely with a local Federally Qualified Health Center that provides integrated care, including primary and pediatric care, dental, behavioral health, eye care, lifestyle medicine, nutrition counseling, diabetes education, care coordination, and wellness programs.
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $300,000 - $450,000 annually

- Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance negotiable
Qualifications:
BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (required)
Commitment to full-time, consistent scheduling available
Strong clinical and communication skills with a patient-centered focus
