Step into a leadership role at a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department in Central Texas. We’re seeking a Medical Director with strong clinical, operational, and leadership skills to guide emergency medicine services, mentor a team of physicians and APPs, and partner with hospital administration in advancing patient care excellence.

🩺 Emergency Department Snapshot

• ED Volume: ~39,000 annual visits

• Admission Rate: 26%

• Staffing: 8–10 hr MD shifts, NPs/PAs working independently with physician collaboration

• Beds: 28, including 3 QuickCare bays + dedicated results-pending suite

• EMR: Cerner FirstNet

• Support: ED administrators manage admissions, transfers & consults

• Design: Negative-pressure adaptable ED layout

💼 Core Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership for ED operations

• Supervise & mentor EM physicians and APPs

• Collaborate with nursing leadership and hospital partners to improve performance

• Represent the ED within hospital leadership committees and the broader community

• Champion quality initiatives, patient safety, and process improvements

✅ Candidate Profile

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine

• Prior leadership or Medical Director experience preferred

• Demonstrated ability to balance clinical, operational, and strategic goals

• Excellent communication and team-building skills
