Job description
Seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a locum-to-perm opportunity in Devils Lake, ND. The provider will work approximately 6 months on a locum basis before transitioning to a permanent position. Travel, lodging, and car rental are covered for non-local candidates.
Job Responsibilities
Manage patient volume averaging 1.4 patients per hour.
Perform advanced emergency procedures: intubation, chest tubes, central lines, procedural sedation, OB/GYN procedures and deliveries, and resuscitation.
Work independently (no midlevel provider support).
Utilize Epic EMR for charting and patient management
Qualifications
Active North Dakota medical license (Required).
DEA Registration (Required).
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (Required).
Working Hours
Shift length between 10–12 hours.
Schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
Emergency procedures (central lines, chest tubes, procedural sedation).
OB/GYN emergency procedures and deliveries.
Adult and pediatric resuscitation.
Strong independent decision-making in a high-acuity setting.
