- Clinical Shift Schedule: 10-hour shifts; 48 hours/day physician coverage; 20 hours/day APP coverage
PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Volume/Census: 42,000 Annual ED Visits
- Case Mix: Trauma, Cardiology, Imaging, GI, OBGYN, Oncology, Ortho, Pulmonology, Urology, Stroke, Neuro
FACILITY INFORMATION
- No. of Beds in Department: 38 ED Beds (including 8 Fast Track)
- Trauma Level: Level II
- EMR System: Cerner
- Support Staff Available: Scribes (40 hours/day), APPs (20 hours/day),48 hours/day physician coverage
- Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Imaging, Gastroenterology, OBGYN, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Urology, Stroke Center, Neuro, Cardiac Rehab
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- General emergency medicine procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active TX Medical License
- BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (or osteopathic equivalent)
- TX DEA
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS; ABEM-Current ACLS and one-time proof of ATLS required
- Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine
- Other Qualifications: Clean file required, must be willing to work both day and night shifts,CME (past 2 years),Case logs (past 2 years), Annual requirement: 8 hours Stroke CME + 8 hours Trauma CME
- In-person EMR training required prior to first shift
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency care in a high-volume trauma center
- Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary specialty teams
- Complete in-person EMR training before starting
