Locums – Emergency Medicine - Fort Pierce, Florida (with coverage at affiliated FSER in Vero Beach) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 Months (with potential ongoing need) Type: Emergency Department Coverage

• Coverage: Main hospital ED + affiliated FSER (bulk coverage at main hospital)

• Setting: Level II Trauma Center

• Annual Patient Volume:

• 61,000 in Main ED

• 16,000 in Pediatric ED

ED Capacity:

42 total beds, including 5 fast-track and 5 monitored beds

3 trauma bays (1 pediatric)

Coverage:

70 hours total physician coverage (Main + Peds ED)

60 hours APP coverage

Admission Rate: 26%

EMR: Meditech, Pdoc, Dragon dictation

Specialty Resources:

Comprehensive stroke facility with biplane

Interventional cardiac cath lab

Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia

Dedicated ED glide scopes & ultrasound machines

Hospital Support:

24/7 in-house hospitalists & intensivists

No floor code or consult responsibilities

• Emergency Department patient care (adult and pediatric)

• Coordination with trauma, cardiology, neurology, and intensivist teams

• Procedures as required in a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting

• Board Certification: ABEM required

• Training: EM Residency trained (Required)

• Licensure: Active FL license (or eligibility)
