Job description
Seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide approximately 6 months of locum coverage with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. The position involves 9-hour varied shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment, with no midlevel provider support.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform procedures including intubation, chest tubes, central lines, procedural sedation, and OB/GYN emergency interventions.
• Manage trauma cases and acute medical conditions efficiently in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (EPIC).
Qualifications
• Active North Dakota medical license (required).
• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and DEA certification (required).
• Proven experience in emergency care procedures and resuscitations.
Working Hours
Skills
• Strong decision-making and crisis management skills.
• Ability to work independently without midlevel provider support.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
