Emergency Medicine Locums – Hermitage, Tennessee Urgent Start | ABEM Required | Level III Trauma Center

We’re urgently seeking experienced Emergency Medicine physicians for a high-volume facility just outside of Nashville. With flexible shift options, full support staff, and emergency credentialing available, this is a strong opportunity for ABEM-certified, residency-trained EM physicians ready to step into a busy, well-equipped ER.

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP (Urgent Need)

• Duration: 6–9 months preferred; minimum 3-month commitment

• Openings: 2 FTE MD positions

• Shift Options: 6a–2p, 9a–6p, 1p–10p, 3p–11p, 4p–10p, 9p–6a

• Orientation: First day of assignment

• Support Team: 2 EM physicians per shift, 32 hours of daily APP coverage, fully staffed ED RN team

• Volume: 130 patients/day; 11,286 annual ER admissions

• Admissions: 28 per day

• Daily Rounding: ~1.95 patients per hour

• Common Presentations: Chest pain, abdominal pain, altered mental status

• Technology: Tele-Psychiatry and Tele-Neurology robots in use

• Trauma Level: III

• Bed Count: 50

• Census: 128

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)

• Emergency Medicine residency trained

• Minimum 3 years of EM experience required

• Emergency credentialing available for qualified candidates
