Locum Emergency Medicine Physician – Inverness, Florida ASAP Start | High-Acuity Adult Volume | 3-Month Assignment

A newly renovated emergency department in central Florida is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine physicians for a 3-month locums assignment. This is a modern, well-supported ED with strong APP coverage, low pediatric volume, and excellent hospitalist collaboration.

Position Highlights:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Assignment Length: 3 months

• Annual ED Volume: 45,000 visits

• Beds: 28 total, including bariatric and private rooms

• Coverage Model:

• 36 hours of MD coverage/day

• 40 hours of APP coverage/day

Support: Friendly, experienced nursing staff + hospitalist team

Patient Mix: Predominantly adult and geriatric; low pediatrics (6%)

No OB/GYN and No Trauma Cases

Stroke Center: Tele-neurology implementation in progress

EMR: Cerner

Status: Independent contractor

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

• Must be able to begin quickly and commit to a 3-month term
