We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join a well-established community hospital system in Massachusetts. This opportunity involves floating coverage between two hospitals, with the primary need for overnight shifts (7 PM – 7 AM). Preference will be given to providers with an active Massachusetts license and best availability.

Shift Length: 12-hour shifts available

Code Responsibility: No

Admissions: Handled by hospitalists or admitting services (not physician responsibility)

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Coverage: Yes

Admission Rate: Approximately 30% of ED patients admitted daily

On-Call Response Time: 30 minutes per hospital bylaws

Deliveries: Sent directly to Labor & Delivery (not handled in ED)

Paramedic/Ambulance Supervision: Yes, includes radio monitoring
Credentialing & Support:

Temporary privileges available during credentialing

Hotel reimbursement provided for out-of-area providers

Local candidates preferred; no flights required
Requirements:

Active Massachusetts medical license preferred; MA-licensed providers prioritized

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of residency)
