URGENT POSITION!!!
Position specific questions
· Reason for the need? To fill open full time positions.
· Is there a specific start date needed? ASAP
· Duration of need? 1 year
· What’s the schedule? On-site, weekends, nights
o Are there specific dates needed? Rotational schedule.
o If call is involved, what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? No call. N/A.
o Call/Rotation schedule? No Call. Rotation schedule.
· What are expectations for orientation? (ie, shadow day? EMR training?) 2 day shadow and orientation.
Candidate Parameters
· Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for Prefer ABEM. Willing to accept IM/FP with EM Experience.
· Experience level? Will take new grads.
Credentialing questions:
· Will emergency privileges be an option? Yes, depending on applicant. (Clean File)
Hospital/unit questions
· Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? Not a trauma center. Accredited chest pain center and stroke center. Average acuity.
· What does the support staff look like? Nurses and Techs
· How will follow up cases be handled? (when applicable- inpatient or outpatient) Depends on case.
Specialty Specific Questions:
Emergency Medicine
· What are the shift times?
o Morning, Mid, and Night 12 hour shifts.
· Is call involved?
o NO
· What procedures are required?
o Standard ED procedures
· What does the support staff include?
o Nurses and Techs
· How many EM physicians are typically on staff per shift?
o 1-2 plus APP’s
