Job description
We are seeking ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing 12-hour locum shifts in Dickinson, North Dakota. This role offers strong support, low patient volume (~1.5 patients/hour), and flexibility across days and nights.
📅 Shift Availability:

May 6–10 (nights), May 11 (day), May 15–17 (nights), May 23–26 (nights), May 26 (day)

June 1–2 (days/nights), June 3–5 (nights), June 9–16 (days), June 20–22 (nights), June 23, 28–30

Ongoing coverage expected (no gaps allowed)
📍 Facility Highlights

Critical access hospital with the feel of a larger institution

2 MDs per day in 12-hour shifts, APP support from 10a–10p

EMR: Meditech
-
Full scope of emergency procedures required: intubations, central lines, chest tubes, OB deliveries, adult/peds resuscitation, procedural sedation
💰 Compensation

$240/hour for 12-hour shifts

Malpractice, flights, hotel, rental car or mileage covered

No first-class flights or upgrades
✅ Requirements

Board Certified in EM (ABEM only)

Active ND license or IMLC (LOQ in hand preferred)

ACLS, ATLS, PALS (required)
-
250+ EM case logs in past 12 months
-
Must be comfortable with all procedures and all ages
This is a great opportunity for experienced emergency physicians looking to provide ongoing, meaningful coverage in a well-resourced rural ED. Travel candidates accepted, but locals will be prioritized.
