Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the position is to provide immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of a generally diversified population of patients in response to acute illness and injury in the Emergency Department (ED). Duties include but are not limited to:
Treating injuries and illnesses in the ED as an independent practitioner who is board certified in Emergency Medicine. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and have membership in hospital committees to ensure effective communication between ED clinicians and other hospital medical staff. Work with residents in the academic affiliate as they learn emergency medicine skills.

Working Hours

Working Hours: The schedule is 80 hours per pay period with rotating shifts to cover the 24/7/365 patient care needs of the emergency department.
