Job description
We’re actively seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician with at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience for a locum assignment in Michigan. The provider will work in a fast-paced outpatient/emergency care hybrid environment. Strong procedural skills are essential.
📍 Job Overview:

Location: Michigan
-
Volume: 1.8 patients/hour (avg. 80 per day shared)

Support Staff: APPs (12-hour shifts), full ED nursing, techs, lab & radiology on-site

EHR System: Cerner
-
Scheduling: 12-hour shifts
-
Clock-In Required: Kronos (reverse billing – no timesheets)
🔧 Required FM Skills & Procedures:

Adult and pediatric outpatient care
-
Newborn resuscitation
-
Suturing, I&D, minor ortho
-
Basic psychiatric care
-
Industrial-related medical issues
-
Airway management, ventilator use up to 24 hrs

Central & arterial lines, EKG interpretation
-
Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis
💰 Compensation & Travel:

Hourly: Up to $320/hour

Holiday/OT Rate: 1.5x

Travel: Mileage, fuel, and hotel

Malpractice: Must be included in rate
✅ Requirements:

Board Certified in Family Medicine
-
Active MI License
-
Minimum 2 years recent ED experience

ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required
-
Clean background required for quick credentialing
