About the Position
📍 Location: Free-Standing Emergency Department in Meigs, with additional coverage in Gallipolis and Jackson, OH
💰 Hourly Rate: $300/hr
🕓 Start Date: As soon as credentialed (Credentialing time: 45–60 days)
🩺 Specialty: Emergency Medicine / Internal Medicine / Family Medicine
🕒 Shifts: 12-hour shifts (8a–8p, 8p–8a)
💉 Certification Requirements: ABMS/AOA Boarded IM/FM, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
📅 Availability: Must be available for nights and weekends
🗂️ State License: Active OH License or IMLC (must provide LOQ within 3 business days of acceptance)
🦠 COVID Vaccine: REQUIRED
Job Description:
An established healthcare system is seeking experienced Board-Certified Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine physicians for locum tenens coverage across three sites in Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson, Ohio.
Meigs Free-Standing ED Details:

Average Volume: 25–35 patients/day

Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage (8a–8p, 8p–8a)

Mid-Level Support: 12p–12a

No Admissions: Inpatient admissions are handled at the main facility in Gallipolis

Trauma Cases: Not a designated trauma center – trauma patients are transferred

Documentation: Providers are responsible for their own charting

Emergency Response: Providers must handle all ED codes
Qualifications
Submission & Compliance Requirements:
✅ Active OH license (or IMLC with LOQ proof)
✅ COVID Vaccination
✅ ABMS or AOA Board Certification in IM/FM – NO exceptions
✅ ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP – REQUIRED
✅ At least 2 years of recent ED experience
✅ Availability for nights and weekends must be noted at time of name clear
