We are seeking experienced emergency medicine physicians for an immediate locum assignment aboard a cruise ship.

Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies, including onboard accidents and acute medical events, coordinating with the medical team for stabilization and, if necessary, evacuation.
Clinical Duties: Conduct daily clinics, perform minor surgical procedures, administer medications, and manage patient records.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other medical staff, including nurses and fellow physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate medical documentation, complete required reports, and comply with maritime health regulations.
Onboard Safety: Participate in safety drills and ensure adherence to health protocols to maintain a safe environment for all onboard.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience in emergency medicine, family practice, or internal medicine
Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
STCW certification (if applicable)
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Valid passport
Working Hours
Schedule: 24/7 coverage; rotating shifts determined by the Senior Ship Physician, depending on the number of physicians onboard (2–4).
Daily Routine: Typically includes two clinics per day, with additional on-call responsibilities as needed.
Flexibility: While the schedule is demanding, there may be opportunities to disembark during port visits, depending on staffing and operational needs.
Skills
Certifications: Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications; STCW certification may be required.
Clinical Competence: Ability to perform urgent care and primary care procedures, including suturing, wound care, and stabilization of acute conditions.
Communication Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written), with strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse patient population.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, multicultural environment with limited resources.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary medical team in a high-pressure setting.
Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds and practices.
