Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and DEA registration
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Proven experience in emergency department settings
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with EMR systems such as AllScripts or Paragon
- Prior experience in a rural or community hospital setting
- Ability to handle high acuity cases and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of emergency medicine experience
- Recent practice in a similar healthcare setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start as soon as credentialed (estimated 45-60 days)
- Minimum of 5 shifts per month, preferably 8-10
- Night shifts from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Travel must be booked through OVP; no overtime permitted
- Must oversee APPs and write orders for admissions
- Critical care skills are advantageous but not mandatory
