Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician
📍 Multiple Locations: Pomeroy, Meigs, Jackson, Gallipolis, Athens, Cambridge – Ohio
🗓️ Start Date: As soon as credentialed (45–60 days)
💼 Minimum 5 shifts/month (8–10 preferred)

A respected regional healthcare network in southeastern Ohio is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine physicians to provide locum coverage across these sites: Pomeroy, Meigs, Jackson, Gallipolis, Athens, Cambridge. Providers must be flexible, available for nights and weekends, and able to work in fast-paced community ED settings.

Facility Overview:

🔹 Meigs ED: Free-standing ED, 25–35 patients/day average
🔹 Coverage: 24/7 physician coverage (8a–8p / 8p–8a) + APP support from 12p–12a
🔹 Admissions: None at Meigs – all transferred to Gallipolis
🔹 Trauma: Not a designated trauma center – transferred to tertiary care
🔹 Documentation: Providers handle their own documentation
🔹 Emergency Code Response: Required

Schedule:

• ⏱️ Shifts: 12-hour shifts, days/nights/weekends

• 🗓️ Minimum commitment: 5 shifts/month (8–10 preferred)

Required Credentials:

✅ Board Certified ABMS/AOA in IM or FM – No exceptions
✅ Active OH License – IMLC accepted with LOQ within 3 business days
✅ COVID Vaccination – Required
✅ Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP – All Required
✅ 2+ Years Recent EM Experience – Required
