JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Emergency Medicine
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Hillsboro, IL
• Service Setting: Inpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 05/07/2025 – Open
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 8a–8p and 8p–8a (12-hour shifts; potential 24-hour shifts)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics (typical ED case mix)
• Patient Volume/Census: Approx. 6,000 annual visits
• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Support Staff Available: APP coverage 8a–6p Monday–Friday, Tele night call
• Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage need
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• General Emergency Medicine procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Illinois medical license required with IL address
• Certifications:
- Board Certified in EM, IM, or FM (ABPS not accepted)
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
• Experience: CME completed within past 2 years
• Other Qualifications: Hospital interview required; complete hospital provider enrollment forms; references to be completed on hospital-specific forms
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide emergency medical care during assigned shifts
• Cover shifts across all preferred times (day, night, and potentially 24-hour)
• Collaborate with APPs and telehealth support at night
• Complete necessary documentation and enrollment requirements
• Work collaboratively with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
