- Other Details: The facility is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. The facility have open shifts for a physician in a solo Emergency Room coverage role, with 12-hour shifts on the following dates: Sunday, June 1, 2025 (7p-7a), Tuesday, June 10, 2025 (7p-7a), Wednesday, June 11, 2025 (7a-7p), Friday, June 13, 2025 (7p-7a), Saturday, June 14, 2025 (7p-7a), Friday, June 27, 2025 (7p-7a), Saturday, June 28, 2025 (7p-7a), and Sunday, June 29, 2025 (7p-7a). The role requires NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment. The facility operates with an open ICU and a team setup of one physician and two mid-levels providing split coverage. With an annual patient volume of 32,000 and daily patient volumes ranging from 90-100 patients, physicians typically see 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift.

Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and emergent patient conditions
- Work collaboratively with two mid-level providers during shifts
- Document all patient interactions using Meditech 6.1 EMR
- Manage patients in an open ICU setting when needed
- Participate in daily clinical responsibilities, seeing 18–20 patients per shift
Qualifications
- NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty
- Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department preferred
