Coverage Needed:
- As soon as credentialed – ongoing
- Shift times: 5:30am-3:30pm, 10am-9pm, 2pm-1am, 8pm-6am
Clinical Information:
- Responsible for overseeing APPs on shift
- Number of beds: 120 bed hospital; ED – 39 beds + 10 hall beds as needed
- Average daily ED census: approximately 135 patients
- 10-12% admission rate from the ED
- Level III trauma center (trauma surgeon support on level 1 traumas)
- Support staff: RNs, techs, RTs, LPNs
- Common cases: Chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, pregnancy related issues, trauma, ortho injuries, pediatrics, shortness of breath, etc.
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM)
- Active TN License and DEA
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
- Required Procedures: Typical ED procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, suture, I&D, conscious sedation (peds/adults), fracture/joint reduction (peds/adults), cardioversion, US FAST exams, etc
