We are seeking a Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician in Iowa.

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - Emergency Medicine
Location: Iowa
Rate: $300/hr
Shift: 9- & 12-hour shifts
Start Date: TBD
End Date: TBD
Position Details:
- Patient Population: Emergency Department
- Setting: Hospital (Trauma Level 3)
- Responsibilities: ED Physician coverage
- Required Procedures: Emergency Medicine procedures
- EMR System: Cerner Powerchart (transitioning to EPIC in June)
- Support Staff: 1-2 APPs per shift
- Days Per Month: TBD
- On-Call/Weekends: No on-call; weekend coverage as needed
- Facility Volume: 33,000 annual visits; peak shifts from 11 AM - 11 PM
- Transfer Rate: Less than 3%
Compensation & Reimbursement:
- Hourly Rate: $300/hr
- Holiday & Overtime Rates
- Conversion Fee ($25K rate cap)
- Orientation Compensation
Requirements:
- Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM
- Active IA License or IMLC
- Clean background
- Fellowship Trained in Emergency Medicine
- ACLS & PALS (AHA); waived if ER boarded
- ATLS required for trauma privileges
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must have a work history that allows quick privileging (60-90 days)
