Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - Emergency Medicine
Location: Bay City, MI
Rate: $400/hour rate cap
Shift: Varied
Start Date: 11/1/2024
End Date: 3/31/2025
Position Details:
- Patient Population: Mixed, including adult outpatient, pediatric general outpatient, and psychiatric cases.
- Setting: Emergency Department.
- Responsibilities: General Emergency Medicine procedures, including ventilation management, central line placement, suturing, EKG interpretation, and more.
- Required Procedures: Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and other EM-related procedures.
- EMR System: Cerner.
- Support Staff: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support for 12 hours per day, full ED nursing and tech support, full radiology and lab.
- Days Per Month: Open dates as provided below.
- On-Call/Weekends: None. Weekend shifts required as per schedule.
Open Shifts:
- Weekday Options:
- 6am – 3pm
- 4pm – 1am
- 9pm – 6am
- Weekend Options:
- 6am – 4pm
- 8am – 6am
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified (no BE); IM/FM with 2+ years of ED experience – Required.
- Michigan License – Required (no IMLC accepted).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS – Required.
- Local Provider – Required (no exceptions).
- Clean background for quick credentialing – Required.
- December dates availability – Required.
Expenses:
- Car, fuel, mileage, and hotel with a $150 cap (including taxes).
- Malpractice insurance must be included in the rate.
- Orientation rate is 50% of hourly rate.
- No reimbursement for Med Staff fees.
