This position requires you to deliver high-quality, board-certified emergency medical services in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with skilled nursing staff and advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise will ensure continuous, safe, and efficient emergency care, supporting the hospital’s commitment to excellence.
Required Skills:
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Valid ND medical license (or eligible for licensure)
- Proven experience in emergency department settings
- Proficiency in ER procedures and Meditech EMR
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high patient volumes
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with trauma and stroke management
- Prior work in rural or Critical Access Hospital (CAH) environments
- Knowledge of additional emergency protocols and procedures
- Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine practice experience
- Previous experience in rural healthcare settings is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work varied 12-hour shifts (6 AM–6 PM and 6 PM–6 AM)
- Willingness to undergo credentialing within 30 days
- Ability to obtain ND medical license within the specified timeframe
- Must be fully credentialed for ongoing coverage
- No travel or additional certifications required outside standard licensing
