Job Title: Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a dynamic team in Athens, Ohio, offering a fantastic opportunity for Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians or experienced Family/Internal Medicine Physicians with emergency medicine experience. This position is with a family-owned physician group dedicated to providing the best patient care.

OVP Health is focused on delivering high-quality hospitalist and emergency department physician services. Our team is engaged in advancing the Ohio Health O'Bleness program and is looking for a dedicated physician to contribute to our growing community practice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in a physician-led organization.
  • Engage with an annual ED volume of 28,000 patients.
  • Work in a 22-bed emergency department.
  • Provide 24 hours/day of physician coverage with 12-hour shifts.
  • Collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers for 36 hours/day of coverage.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for patient documentation.
  • Embrace opportunities for full-time employment or independent contracting.
  • Benefit from on-site administrative support.
  • This is a permanent position, possibly requiring residency within the local area.
  • Prior experience is mandatory; new graduates and visa candidates are not accepted.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family/Internal Medicine with emergency medicine experience.
  • Minimum of 12 months/2,000 hours of experience in emergency medicine.
  • Current Ohio medical license (in hand or in process).
  • Documentation of procedures performed and experience.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Clear malpractice and licensing records.
  • DEA certification required before starting.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Ohio medical license.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialties.
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
