Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine
Join a reputable medical facility in Bay City, Michigan, as a Locum Emergency Medicine physician from February 2025 to May 2025. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work onsite in a supportive environment, with full radiology and lab services. Shifts are primarily 9 or 10 hours long, and there's the possibility of 12-hour shifts. No call is required for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage an average of 80 patients per day, approximately 1.8 patients per hour.
- Perform a variety of emergency medicine procedures, including suturing, central line insertions, and EKG interpretations.
- Collaborate with a complete team of nurses, APPs, and technicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Utilize the Cerner EHR system for patient documentation and management.
- Handle complications such as volume and blood pressure issues, ensuring prompt and thorough evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (No Board Eligible candidates).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience.
- Local provider required; no exceptions for non-local applicants.
- Clean background for swift credentialing.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Michigan medical license required at the time of name clear; no exceptions for IMLC.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required.
