Provider Requirements:

  • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in emergency medicine.
  • Certifications: Required if not EM boarded (ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, ATLS - Advanced Trauma Life Support, and PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • DEA: Required.
  • State Licensure: Pennsylvania medical license.

Assignment Details:

  • Work Hours: 300 hours/month for full-time physicians. Candidates available to work a minimum of 133 hours/month will also be considered.
  • Estimated Shifts/Month: 15 shifts.
  • EMR/Charting System: Cerner.
  • Typical Workday:
    • Treating patients in the Emergency Department.
    • Shift Times: Flexible candidates are needed to work a range of shifts, which may include:
      • Monday to Friday: 10 am - 6 pm, 10 pm - 7 am, 11 am - 7 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm, 4 pm - 12 am, 6 am - 3 pm, 6 pm - 2 am, 8 am - 5 pm.
      • Saturday and Sunday: 10 pm - 7 am, 11 am - 7 pm, 1 pm - 9 pm, 2 pm - 11 pm, 5 pm - 2 am, 6 am - 3 pm, 8 am - 5 pm.
  • Days to Credential: Approximately 90 days.
  • Other Job Notes:
    • APP Coverage: Mid-day shift coverage available by Advanced Practice Providers.
    • No Call Required: The position does not require being on call.
    • Non-Trauma Center: The medical center is not a trauma center.

Patient Demographics:

  • Adult patients account for 90% of cases.
  • Pediatric patients account for 10% of cases.
