Medstaff is assisting with Emergency Medicine coverage for a client located near Schenectady, NY.

Physician: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or new grad ready to sit for the boards. Will also consider Board Certified Family or Internal Medicine physicians who have emergency medicine experience
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Start Date: April 2024, pending credentialing approval
Length: 5 months, possibly ongoing
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, days and nights, Sun-Sat

Details:
Annual ED Volume of 30k

24 hours of doctor coverage and 18 hours of APP coverage daily

16 bed ED with Fast track

1.6-2 patients per hour

17% admission rate (done by hospitalist); Medium to high acuity patients

Non designated trauma center

PM physician will respond to codes

Specialty support Imaging, lab, and emergency psychiatric services

EMR is Meditech

Credentials: Active New York medical license & CDS, DEA, Board Certification or new EM grad ready to sit for the boards. IM/FM will require ATLS, ACLS & PALS
