As a medical director at USACS, you will be responsible for collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while offering support to your physician staff. You will serve as a leader both within the emergency department, and as a leader within the organization. DETAILS

  • Oversee the operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration
  • Supervise the EM staff, per the bylaws, policies and procedures of the institution
  • Represent the ED in the community and within the hospital medical staff

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

  • ED Volume: 35,000
  • ED Beds: 29 (with two QuickCare beds)
  • Patients/Hour: 2.5
  • Admission Rate: 18%
  • Staffing Model:
    • 8-12 hour physician shifts (depending on volume trends) with APP support
  • EMR: Cerner FirstNet
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center with thrombectomy
  • Qualifications: BC/BP in emergency medicine preferred

Emergency Department

  • ED Beds: 29 (with two QuickCare beds)
  • Patients/Hour: 2.5
  • Admission Rate: 16%
  • Coverage: 9-, 10-, and 11-hour shifts with 36 hours of physician coverage and 28 hours of APP coverage per day
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center with thrombectomy
  • Qualifications: BC/BP in emergency medicine preferred
