Emergency Medicine Physician - Level 3 and Level 4

Location: Cass Lake, MN - Indian Health Service

Duties:
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the emergency department
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and ICD-10 coding
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as necessary

Skills:
- Proficient in acute care management and emergency medicine procedures
- Knowledge of behavioral health assessment and crisis intervention techniques
- Ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
- Competency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Experience with catheterization and other invasive procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Work Schedule
5-12 shifts a month depending on how much you would like to work
12 hour shifts
