Envision Physician Services is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our prestigious practice at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area in Corpus Christi, TX. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to patients in our high-acuity Emergency Department (ED). This position offers a 1099 status with flexible hours and a newly increased compensation of $290 per hour effective late summer 2023. You will work 12-hour shifts with the support of advanced practice providers (APPs) and manage an annual volume of approximately 28,000 patients. ABEM/ABEOM certification is required.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, evaluating and managing acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies.

Conduct thorough medical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.

Stabilize and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring resuscitation and advanced life support interventions.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, consult with specialists, and arrange appropriate transfers, if necessary.

Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for the management of emergency cases, ensuring high-quality and evidence-based care.

Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide education, support, and a patient-centered care experience.

Requirements:

Medical degree (MD or DO) and valid medical license.

Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABEOM).

Demonstrated clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical and traumatic emergencies.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting effective collaboration and teamwork.
