A small city in the central Pennsylvania region about 2 hours east of Pittsburgh needs an emergency medicine physician to help out with PRN/locums needs at 2 nearby hospitals. Details:
  • Location: Altoona and Bedford, PA
  • Setting: Emergency Dept
    • 45-51,000 annual volume
    • Avg volume per 24 hrs: 137
    • 70 hrs of physician coverage and 24 hrs APP coverage daily
  • Start: ASAP (credentialing 45-90 days)
  • Length: 6 months
  • Schedule: 10 hr shifts
  • Coverage needed for both Altoona and Bedford
Required:
  • Board certified/board eligible emergency medicine
  • Active PA license
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS – must be through AHA or Red Cross
Compensation:
  • 1099 contract –paid weekly – pay negotiable
  • 100% of malpractice insurance covered
  • Local candidates preferred – but travel can be included if needed
