As an Observation Medicine Medical Director with USACS, you’ll be responsible for managing observation medicine services by collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while offering support to your physician staff. As a leader for both the hospital and US Acute Care Solutions, you will influence broad company decisions and help facilitate the development of new leaders.

Job Details

  • Assure quality patient experience by managing protocols and complaints

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Lead and organize all meetings to represent the Observation Unit
  • Responsible for the supervision on the onsite Physician Staff by managing the day to day responsibilities of these clinicians
  • Report to the National Director of Observation Services
  • Maintain improvement plans for any area not meeting expected benchmarks
  • Investigate quality referrals from the hospital quality committee

Requirements

  • Board certified in Emergency Medicine
  • A minimum of 3 years experience caring for hospital based patients
  • Previous administrative experience desirable

OBSERVATION UNIT

  • Average Daily Encounters: 5
  • 12-bed observation unit
  • 12-hour shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a
  • Must be an experienced NP/PA
