Envision Physician Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our collegial team at Methodist De Zavala ER Freestanding ED, an extension of the emergency department at Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio, Texas.

Position Profile:

• 13,800 annual volume
• 9 ED beds
• 24 hours of physician coverage
• Shift times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
• MediTech EMR
• Trauma transfers to Methodist Hospital or Methodist Children’s Hospital
• Must be BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
• 1099 position - up to 120 hours available

Methodist ER De Zavala is open 24/7, daily to provide emergency medical care for both adults and children in our community. The emergency services team is fully trained team and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions.

• Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
• Specific on-site diagnostic equipment will include: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
• Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
• 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
• Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER De Zavala Rd. to any Methodist credentialed physician’s office, specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up
