  • Specially trained Nurses in providing emergency adult and pediatric care, as well as in trauma and resuscitation.
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
About the Hospital 204-bed Not-for-profit Community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. The busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. Most care for inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in the 10-county service area. Primary Hospital Specifics Shift duration varies Staffing Model: Physician coverage 40 hours daily, APP coverage 36 hours daily - Physician: 0700-1600, 1000-2000, 1500-2400 and 1900-0700 - APP: 0600-1800, 1800-0600 and 1200-2400 Variety of shifts per day 204 bed Hospital with access to all specialties 31 Bed ED Level 3 Trauma Center 2-dedicated trauma rooms 5 bed restricted access behavioral health area Designated primary stroke center Average 98 ED visits daily, 36,000 annually Second Hospital Specifics Shift duration: 12 hours Staffing Model: Physician coverage 24 hours daily, APP coverage 24 hours daily - Physician: 0800-2000, 2000-0800 - APP: 1000-2200 and 1200-2400 49 bed Hospital 15 Bed ED Level 4 Trauma Center Average 47 ED visits daily, 1.2 patients per hour Hospital based ambulance service On call- specialties include Surgery, Ortho, and Podiatry RT available 24/7 New Hospital Building Project with completion date Spring 2022 Responsibilities Evaluate, interpret and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Community Details Waterloo and Cedar Falls comprise a metro area of more than 107,000 residents who are proud to call the Cedar Valley home.
