Job Description
Seeking an ED trained physician for days and nights in a Detroit Metro Area community hospital, starting July 1, 2022. The hospital is a teaching facility with multiple residencies and fellowship programs (Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Orthopedic Surgery).
The hospital has the area’s best and brightest providers from almost every specialty, providing care for the western Michigan area for the last 70 years.
JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications:
· MD/DO Board Certified or Board Eligible
· Interest in teaching residents & students
· Michigan State License
Job Description:
· Full-time/part-time opportunities available
· Mix of Days & Nights, or Nocturnist Only
· 8-12 hours shifts
Emergency Department Description:
· Two locations
o Main Location (in the hospital): 36,000 visits/year (32 Main ED beds, plus 6 fast-track beds)
o Second Location (standalone ED): 15,000 visits/year (12 ED beds)
· Academic ED program with 18 residents, both MD/DO
· All sub-specialties
· Cohesive group of physicians and an engaged nursing staff
· Dedicated & dependable Advanced Practitioner (APP) support
