We are seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Dermatologist to help reopen and grow its dermatology practice in Jackson.
This newly renovated medical center provides comprehensive services for men, women, and children in a welcoming, patient-focused environment. The dermatology practice is primarily medical (90%) with 10% cosmetic services and opportunity for cosmetic growth if desired.
This is a full-time, employed outpatient opportunity offering strong procedural volume and excellent work-life balance within a large, well-supported health system.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform high-volume dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, lesion removals, etc.)
• Manage medical dermatology cases with opportunity for cosmetic services
• See approximately 4–5 patients per hour
• Perform procedures on 3–4 patients per hour on average
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
• Support the rebuilding and growth of the dermatology service line
• Outpatient clinic setting
• Level II trauma designation (facility)
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Minimum 36 direct patient contact hours
• 4 hours administrative time weekly
• Approximately 80% of visits involve procedures
• Reopening established dermatology practice
• EMR: Epic
Qualifications
• Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA and CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start)
• Clean malpractice and license history required
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) required at presentation
• Flu vaccination required
• Visa status must be disclosed at submission
