Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Dermatologist for a permanent, hospital-employed role providing outpatient dermatology services in a community hospital setting. The position focuses on general medical dermatology with procedural work as appropriate.
Clinical Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat a broad range of medical dermatologic conditions

Perform routine in-office dermatologic procedures

Conduct skin cancer screenings and lesion evaluations

Manage chronic dermatologic conditions and follow-up care

Collaborate with referring primary care and specialty providers

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Schedule & Workload (Community Hospital Average)

Monday–Friday schedule
-
4–5 clinic days per week
-
Outpatient only
-
No inpatient consults
-
No call or minimal phone-only call (if applicable)

Average patient volume: 25–35 patients per day, dependent on staffing and procedure mix
Compensation & Benefits (Market-Based – CT Hospital Employed)

Base salary typically $325,000–$425,000, depending on experience and scope

Candidate Requirements
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology

Board certification required within 5 years if BE

Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain

Comfortable in a community hospital outpatient setting

Strong clinical and documentation skills
