Dermatologist – Locum Tenens Coverage (North Dakota)

Pay Rate: $2,000/day ($250/hour)
Assignment Dates: February 23, 2026 – May 29, 2026
Coverage Type: Continuous coverage or 2 weeks per month
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5×8-hour shifts

We are seeking a Board-Certified Dermatologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established outpatient dermatology clinic in North Dakota.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment with a steady patient volume and an efficient, team-based workflow. The position is outpatient-only with no call or inpatient responsibilities.

Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an active North Dakota medical license prior to the start of the assignment.


Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive general dermatology care, including consultations, follow-up visits, and minor procedures.
Perform ED&C (electrodessication and curettage) and excision procedures.
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.
Collaborate effectively with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Dermatology (MOHS not required).
Active medical license or eligibility/willingness to obtain a North Dakota license.
Prior outpatient dermatology experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Patient Schedule: Every 15 minutes (new and follow-up visits)
Patient Volume: 25–27 patients per day
No call or inpatient duties

Skills

Proficiency in general dermatology procedures (biopsies, excisions, ED&C).
Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient practice efficiently.
Team-oriented mindset with excellent patient communication skills.
