Job description
Medical Center in Davenport is seeking a Board-Certified Dermatologist to provide general dermatologic care on a locum tenens basis. This outpatient-only opportunity involves weekday clinic hours with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. The practice offers a well-supported clinical environment with a 2:1 nursing ratio and an optional teaching opportunity with a Family Medicine residency program.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct patient visits in a high-volume outpatient clinic setting.
• Accurately document clinical encounters using Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with a team consisting of one other physician and one advanced practice provider (no supervision required).
• Coordinate care with hospital staff when infusions are ordered.
Qualifications
• Fellowship trained in Dermatology – Required
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC LOQ – Required (upload copy at submission)
• Clean malpractice and background history – Required
Working Hours
• Patient contact hours: 08:00 AM – 11:45 AM and 01:00 PM – 05:00 PM
• Clinical hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call duties
Skills
• Proficient in performing skin biopsies and general dermatology procedures
• Strong documentation and EMR skills (Cerner experience preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice
• Team-oriented and professional demeanor
