The University of Iowa Department of Dermatology is seeking a faculty member for a position in General Dermatology. Appointment rank may be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level and to either the tenure track, research track, or clinical (non-tenure) track, consistent with clinical experience and research interests. Appointment to the rank of Instructor (non-tenure track) may also be considered.

Qualifications
MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Dermatology. Internationally trained individuals are encouraged to apply; eligibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Board-eligible or board-certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology at the time of hire.
Eligible for or currently holding an active Iowa medical license.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior academic experience in Dermatology training programs.
Prior teaching experience in the medical sciences at the postgraduate level.
Prior research experience and scholarship in Dermatology or the health sciences.
Demonstrated experience providing patient-focused care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, with a strong commitment to academic medicine.
Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
