Penn Highlands Healthcare is now accepting BC/BE Critical Care Intensivist candidates to join Lung Innovations Network, a private practice providing advanced pulmonary and critical care services for Penn Highlands Healthcare.Penn Highlands Healthcare is an integrated healthcare system that offers supportive services through comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, interventional radiology, PET/CT, breast imaging and intervention and The Lung Center – named a Center of Excellence with the Lung Cancer Alliance and UPMC Center of Excellence of Lung Cancer Screening.
Lung Innovations Network provides state-of-the-art pulmonary procedures including electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy, bronchial thermoplasty, thoracic ultrasound, cryotherapy, airway stenting, diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonary medicine, thoracentesis, Pleurx catheter placement, pleurodesis, management of complex illnesses such as shock, respiratory failure, ARDS, pneumonia, pulmonary hypertension, life threatening drug overdoses and electrolyte imbalances.
Sandeep Bansal, MD, FCCP, FACP, of Lung Innovations Network was the first physician in the State of Pennsylvania to perform bronchial thermoplasty for serve asthma after it was approved by FDA.
Position Details:
Join a robust multidisciplinary team in providing critical care services at Penn Highlands DuBois, a 172 inpatient bed hospital with anticipated Level II Trauma Center in 2021- Penn Highlands DuBois
- 12-bed CVICU
- 15-bed ICU
- 19-bed emergency department with over 28,000 annual visits
- Full scope critical care medicine including all procedures – airway management, central line placement, arterial line placement and bedside bronchoscopy. Experience with dialysis, preferred.

Outpatient services are provided at more than 100 locations throughout the region as well as seven QCare Urgent Care facilities.
