Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Bowling Green, KY. This opportunity provides Medical ICU coverage with daytime in-house coverage followed by overnight call, starting with holiday coverage in December and ongoing monthly shift needs. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Manage critically ill MICU patients
Cover approximately 8–14 ICU patients per day
Perform required ICU procedures as needed
Collaborate with MICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and additional hospital service lines
Provide daytime in-house coverage followed by overnight call coverage
Support ongoing monthly coverage needs as available
Qualifications
Active Kentucky medical license required
Active DEA required
ACLS required
Comfortable serving as the sole physician covering the MICU
Proficiency with required ICU procedures
Working Hours
Initial coverage dates: December 24–26
Provider must be available for all listed December dates
Ongoing need: 8–12 shifts per month
In-house coverage: 7:00a–5:00p
Overnight call coverage: 5:00p–7:00a
Coverage type: In-house daytime coverage + overnight call
Facility & Practice Details
Practice setting: Medical ICU / inpatient
Patient volume: Approximately 8–14 MICU patients per day
Coverage model: Solo Critical Care physician coverage for the MICU
Support staff: MICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and additional hospital service lines
Manageable ICU census with strong clinical support
