Cardiovascular Intensive Care Intensivist | Academic Gulf Coast Opportunity | 7 On / 7 Off Schedule

Progressive academic health system on the Gulf Coast is seeking an experienced Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Critical Care Intensivist to join a dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) supporting a rapidly expanding cardiothoracic and vascular surgery program.

This is an opportunity to work in a physician-led ICU model with close collaboration alongside cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons while caring for complex postoperative cardiovascular patients.

Clinical Scope Includes:

  • Primary management of postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
  • ECMO and advanced mechanical circulatory/respiratory support
  • Cardiogenic shock management
  • Severe respiratory failure and multiorgan dysfunction
  • Post-CABG, valve, aortic, thoracic, and advanced vascular procedures
  • Advanced ventilator management
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and support
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Percutaneous tracheostomy
  • Chest tube management
  • CRRT
  • Bedside TEE interpretation

Ideal Candidate:

Seeking experienced physicians only with demonstrated success in high-acuity surgical or cardiovascular critical care environments.

Candidates from backgrounds including:

  • Anesthesia–Critical Care
  • Pulmonary–Critical Care
  • Surgical Critical Care
  • Emergency Medicine–Critical Care

ECMO experience is strongly preferred.
